After spending nearly 15 years at Tippett Studio as an animation director and storyboard artist helping other directors tell their stories I finally decided to start directing my own projects.
I wrote and directed the shorts Three Queens, and Suspended and fell in love with the collaboration and teamwork required in directing. In 2021 I directed 4 episodes of Bleacher Report’s The Portal which won a Sports Emmy in 2022. In 2023 I was hired by Rob McElhenney’s company Adim to develop their stories into movies. I was honored to direct Adim’s first film Cammy & Mike which premiered at the 2024 Austin Film Festival.
Cammy & Mike. A short film I directed for Rob McElhenney’s company Adim. Written by Humphrey Ker. VFX by Tippett Studio.
Jurassic World Alive. A commercial I directed for Jam City. Produced by Midnight Lantern Productions. Shot by Jimi Whitaker. VFX by Tippett Studio.
The Portal: Episode 1. I had the pleasure of directing the first season of Bleacher Report’s The Portal. A show which pits NBA greats from across time to battle it out in games of one-on-one. Produced by DreamView Studios.
The Portal: Episode 2. In episode 2 Giannis Antetokounmpo faces off against the legendary baller Wilt Chamberlain. It was fun to play up their different attitudes.
The Portal: Episode 3. Barkley vs Embiid. If you ever wanted to see what it would be like to pit Charles Barkley vs one of the best players of today, check out this short I directed.
The Portal: Episode 4. Irving vs Iverson. Here’s the final episode of The Portal I directed for Dreamview and Bleacher Report.
Three Queens. A comedic short film I wrote and directed about three bank-robbing drag queens. Three Queens premiered at the 2020 Cinema Diverse Film Festival and won Best LGBT Short Film at the Paris Short Film Festival in 2020
Suspended. A short suspense/sci fi film I wrote and directed in 2018. In the vein of an old Twilight Zone episode.
Rolling Hills Club. A commercial I wrote and directed for Rolling Hills Tennis club in Novato, CA.
